【YAMAHA WR250R】

Here is an explanation of how to fix a coiled wire to an off-road bike (YAMAHA WR250R).

The coiled wire is fixed to a motorcycle frame after taking off a seat and a side cover.
A way to take off the side cover differs according to a motorcycle. Please consult with a dealer for details of each motorcycle.

Demounting of seat

Demounting of side cover

The coiled wire must be fixed to a motorcycle frame.
Don’t fix the coiled wire to places where sufficient strength cannot be provided, such as low-strength metal or plastic parts.
Please ensure that the coiled wire is fixed firmly and doesn’t slide or move around after being placed.
Please fix the coiled wire to a place where it doesn’t interfere existing lines, such as electric cords or fuel hose.

Depending on the installation position of the coiled wire, it may get caught in a groove or a gap between existing parts.
In this case, please use “protector tube” as an optional accessory.

Let the wire wind a motorcycle frame and fix firmly by a loop setter.
After tying a knot on the extra part of the coiled wire, cut the extra length after leaving at least 2cm away from the knot. Put a cap on the end.

Let the wire wind a motorcycle frame.

Bundle the wires by a loop setter.

Turn the wing screw tightly

Tie a knot tightly so that the wire does not fall out of the loop setter.

Cut the extra length after leaving at least 2cm away from the knot.

Put an end cap.

The coiled wire attachment is finished as above procedures.
The proper length of the coiled wire is determined when the wire is fully extended while standing on steps of the motorcycle.
Improper length of the coiled wire can cause delays or malfunctions in airbag operation.
